Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome Induced by Ciprofloxacin

Abstract
Pseudotumor cerebri syndrome (PTCS) is characterized by increased intracranial pressure in the absence of a tumor or other diseases. The main symptom and sign are headache and papilledema. PTCS may be primary (idiopathic intracranial hypertension) or arise from an identifiable secondary cause. Secondary PTCS include various conditions such as venous sinus thrombosis, medications, and medical conditions. We report a patient who showed papilledema and probable PTCS after using ciprofloxacin.
